SS13 – ELECTRIC LIGHT SPECTRUM

Spec·trum [spek-truhm]

noun, plural spec·tra [-truh], spec·trums.

“An array of entities, as light waves or particles, ordered in accordance with the magnitudes of a common physical property, as wavelength or mass: often the band of colors produced when sunlight is passed through a prism, comprising red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet”.

For Spring 13 ISAORA finds inspiration in light and everything in the collection reflects this concept: from shapes to fibers, from hues to prints.

ISAORA takes this initial idea a step forward by analyzing the importance of lightness and weightlessness for the warmer season, working with ultra light fabrications, sleeker shapes and clean lines. Performance is the strongest element behind each single piece and through the use of stretch fabric and ergonomic construction the clothes themselves gain a highly functional sense of freedom.

Everything is designed with adventure in mind, but for SS13 ISAORA takes on a bold sartorial approach, giving the collection a sophisticated, minimal look. Laser cut trenches and deconstructed blazers with stretch paneling find their place next to knit combo shirts and karate pants, a new take on the traditional fighting trouser in nano tech cotton poplin. The balance between light and shadow is the fil rouge of the Collection and is expressed through unique treatments on technical outwear and color blocked shirts.

Iconic ISAORA pieces are still play an important role but are entirely revisited: the 3-Layer Shell has a digital sky print and the Ultra light Jacket is presented in the brightest hues of yellow and orange.

Geometric, digital prints inspired by the fragmentation of light as it passes through a prism are used on thermo welded swim trunks and t-shirts, as well as on the accessories, once again created in collaboration with Porter.

The color palette finds new life by exploring the bands in between white (pure light) and black (no light) that create visible light:  red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

ISAORA. Be enlightened.
